Youthcare Ministry - May 2013

04th May | 3.30-5.30pm
THE STAR TREK PRINCIPLE
RACHEL ERIC

Fans and viewers followed The Starship Enterprise stories because they are inspired by how it boldly went where no man had gone before. The Bible & world is full of people who 'went first'. We can too, with a compass in our heads and magnet in our hearts.
Consider: Experiencing God and helping others in our walk with Christ often leads us to new situations. Do we shrink back from the uncertainty or do we go forth boldly like the Enterprise?

THE UNDERDOG
BEE LUEN

1 Cor 1:27 says "But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong."
Consider: Who were considered as small, weak & foolish in the Bible, yet God used them in big ways? Who is considered small, weak & foolish today?

HONOUR YOUR PARENTS
PASTOR AMOS YAP

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. "Honour your father and mother"- which is the first commandment with a promise- "that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth." Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

GRACE
JEREMIAH

What is Grace? Eph 4:7 says “But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.” Also, Rom 6:1-2a “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid……”
Consider: Most of us would say that we understand what Grace is. However, when we have to explain what it is, we will have some difficulty articulating what it is.
